I didn't see your name but when I saw the Criterion logo I was like... This is Gerry's blog, isn't it...
ReplyDeleteI too enjoy indie films over blockbusters...most of the time. Film fests are the bees knees. I plan on going to all of those this year!
ReplyDeleteYou like podcasts? Ever listen to Kevin Smith's, Smodcast? I realize Kevin Smith isn't everyone's cup of tea but he does occasionally say something pretty insightful and cool during his podcasts.
ReplyDeleteWhat draws you to reviewing films?
ReplyDeleteThe Criterion Collection is great. Just watched The Killers a few days ago. (1946 version)
ReplyDeleteVery cool that you like to write your own reviews!
ReplyDeleteHi Gerry! I too have thought a bit about being a film critic after I have had enough time in the industry. I mean, getting paid to watch movies and give your opinion?!? Sounds pretty good to me!
ReplyDeleteAustin Texas is greatttt, I hear it's one of the best places for independent filmmaking out there
ReplyDeleteI can't say I have a favorite movie either. There are so many good ones out there, and there is so much variety in what is good about each movie. Star Wars is great, but has any film ever told such an intricately woven story as the underrated Franklyn? James Bond has its goofy moments, but it is also tons of fun.
