Blog Post 1: 10 Things About You


1. I love movies and TV shows.
2. I am obsessed with The Criterion Collection
3. My favorite artist is Greg Laswell
4. It's hard for me to pick one favorite movie because there are too many to choose from.
5. I like to write my own film reviews.
6. If I don't get a job as a director or producer, I would like to be a film critic and write for film websites.
7. I love listening to podcasts and would like to start or participate in a film or TV related podcast like The Golden BriefcaseNow Playing PodcastFighting In The War Room and AfterBuzz TV.

8. After graduation, I want to move to Austin, Texas.
9. The film festivals I want to attend the most are Fantastic FestSXSW, and Sundance.
10. I prefer independent films over the typical summer blockbuster films.

  2. I too enjoy indie films over blockbusters...most of the time. Film fests are the bees knees. I plan on going to all of those this year!

  3. You like podcasts? Ever listen to Kevin Smith's, Smodcast? I realize Kevin Smith isn't everyone's cup of tea but he does occasionally say something pretty insightful and cool during his podcasts.

  7. Hi Gerry! I too have thought a bit about being a film critic after I have had enough time in the industry. I mean, getting paid to watch movies and give your opinion?!? Sounds pretty good to me!

  9. I can't say I have a favorite movie either. There are so many good ones out there, and there is so much variety in what is good about each movie. Star Wars is great, but has any film ever told such an intricately woven story as the underrated Franklyn? James Bond has its goofy moments, but it is also tons of fun.
